Psalm 46 (NIV)

1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. 5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. 6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. 7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. 8 Come and see what the LORD has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. 10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” 11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Self Identity

Know that God is near. God is here in the midst of your trials as well as your tribulations. God is Omniscient, Omnipresent. She is everywhere all around you. In your comings and goings, she is near. She is near when you wake up in the mornings and when you go to sleep at night.

Know that God does care for you. He knows the number of hairs on our heads. In the song His Eye is on the Sparrow, the lyricist preaches to us by writing: Why should I feel discouraged and why should the shadows come? Why should my heart be lonely and long for heaven and home? Since Jesus is my portion. A constant friend is He. His eye is on the sparrow. And I know He watches me.

Know that you are created in the image of God (Imago Dei in Latin). God is (She is the I AM God) so you are god that is only subjugated to the supreme I AM God, and not to humankind. We are not slaves to humans, but we are servants of the Most High God. You are somebody. God did not create junk when She created you. Be reassured that you come from God and that you are one of God’s children. Being God should not produce arrogance in your spirit, but a humbleness and humility to serve and to do what God commands of you according to your respective gifts, talents, and anointing.

Prayer

Oh Most Righteous and Holy Mother and Father God, help us in our daily struggles to know you. To know you, is to really know what love is. God, you are our example of perfect love. Give us the self discipline and “Big Momma” sense to want and get to know you and your perfect will for our lives today and all our numbered days on your glorious earth. Amen!

Thought for the day

Know God for the healing of your body, mind, soul, and spirit.
