Rev. Dr. Clyde A. White
Psalm 119:9-11 (NLT)

“How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word and following its rules. I have tried my best to find you- don’t let me wander from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”

“The best place for the Word of God”

I can hear the pleas that come from many parents and their children today as they continue to struggle against the traps that our society has placed in their pathway. Many Christian parents and their Christian children are facing a world that seems to be destined to destroy its self and lure our children away from God.

This scripture offers the hope and the blessed assurance that is to be ours if we remain steadfast and unmovable always abounding in the Word of God. For God’s Word is more powerful than any two-edged sword. And it is able to sustain us even at our most dire moments. Therefore, study to show thy self approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim. 2:15 (KJV)

Prayer

Dear God, please keep me safe from the wiles of this world as I face each day. Develop in me a sincere love for your Word and your Ways. In Jesus name we pray, amen!

Thought for the day

We must wear the helmet of Salvation, the Word of God, in order to keep our minds protected from “head shots.”
