Mark 4:34

When they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples.

Take Some Time Out to Hear from God!

We can only be used by God after we allow Him to show us the deep and hidden areas of our own character, the part of us nobody sees. Jesus will remove the covering off of our inner self, and reveal to us who we really are. You see, the only one who can truly understand us is God! Sometimes we have been saved so long we forget from whence we've come, and how we suffered before Jesus came into our lives. Some of us are filled with pride, conceit, and self-centeredness. While some of us are just living the way we want to live, with no regrets.

We need to understand that our suffering is because we do not know God, or His plan of salvation for our lives. It is at these times in our lives that Jesus cannot teach us anything - we are of the world! He is calling us, but we do not hear him. We do not want to hear Him because we have a life style that does not include God.

My brothers and sisters we must not forget where we came from, because it has great bearing upon where we are going. Like you, I experienced that day when Jesus came into my life. That day Jesus called us was to each of us unique, and we will never forget it. When God gets us totally alone, He begins to teach us. As you walk this Jesus journey, keep in mind that He has a purpose and a plan for your life. Our purpose and destiny await us all, in Him, Christ Jesus. My brothers and sisters, we must discipline ourselves, so that when we are alone we take time out to give thanks, meditate and listen for the voice of God; He is still ordering our steps!

Prayer

Lord God my heavenly Father, thank You for all You have done for us. Help us Lord not to live in the past, but to focus on You, and the future. We are never alone because You said that You would never leave us nor forsake us, even to the end of this earth. Lord, help us all to walk each day with Thee. Amen.

Thought for the day

During a quiet moment, listen for God.
