Zephaniah 3:7

I said, ‘Surely the city will fear me, it will accept correction; it will not lose sight of all that I have brought upon it.’ But they were the more eager to make all their deeds corrupt.

Existing and Walking Blind

We have witnessed violence, chaos, pandemonium and other types of melancholic emotions shifting our world away from seeking hope, to now accepting hopelessness. Questions arise. Where is God in the midst of confusion? Where is God in the midst of hopelessness? Is it necessary to have faith that something that we can’t imagine turning around, will indeed turn around? The enemy named hatred is entered into the human mind causing us to panic. Furthermore, this has sent the community at large into a whirlwind of angst and turmoil.

It would appear as if people are simply learning to exist and are purposely walking blind, in order to deny their shortcomings. However God has a message stating that “Surely the city will fear Me, it will accept correction; it will not lose sight of all that I have brought upon it.” As you read this, I dare you not to assume God isn’t listening or looking at what is happening in our society. The greater challenge to us is learning to live and walk toward God’s vision. Please remember we are not in competition with each other, but it’s our pride that is in competition with God’s destiny. Take heed that everything surrounding you that is chaotic is a distraction. But as you are living and walking in righteousness, remember God wants you to keep your focus on those things God has called you to.

Prayer

God we thank You for allowing us to live and walk in Your will. God continue to keep us mindful that we are required to walk in correction every time we lift up Your name. In Jesus name, Amen.

Thought for the Day
Correction doesn’t mean become perfect, but another opportunity to make things better.
