1 Corinthians 12:12 (NIV)

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

We Are Not Meant to Live Alone

We need the body of Christ, we need healthy relationships in our lives and we need relationship with God in order to live a fulfilled life. That ‘I can make it on my own’ attitude could be harmful to your future. There are times when there is no way around the fact that we need help from someone. Being saved and a part of the body of Christ means that we should recognize that one person cannot do it all, it is ok to reach out for help, and we are called to help others. We even need help to know the will of God for our lives. Oh yes, we need help from the Holy Spirit and from others within the body of Christ.

Have you been making decisions about a job or a new business? Are you thinking about getting married, going to school, or even moving to another state? Did you pray about it, and ask God if it is in his plan for your life? If you have not asked God, consulted with you Holy Father, then you should. Don’t keep the burden all to yourself. Get help!

Prayer

Lord God please reveal Your perfect plan for my life to me. Help me to be a servant of the body of Christ and teach me how to show myself friendly, that I may have new friends in the body of Christ. Help me to continually engage the word of God so I may continue to grow as a Christian. Amen.

Thought for the day

God wants to raise you above your circumstances, and to supply your every need. You are not alone.
