Rev. Will Hall

Psalm 27:13

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

“Oh Taste and See”

Leroy Morgan was born in Mississippi, and soon after birth he and his family moved to Chicago. Mr. Morgan is a World War II veteran, retired Post Office supervisor, and a diehard golfer. Recently while talking to his grandson, he told him, “today I am 32,208 days old”. In recent years he has encountered various health challenges, which have prohibited him from playing golf. No matter the circumstances, he tells everyone, “the secret to getting older is waking up every day, and if I keep waking up, one day I shall swing my golf clubs again, if the good Lord lets me”.

Every day we arise to a new morning, and God fills our day with goodness. Yet, often times, we do not witness nor embrace the goodness of God, because we allow irrelevant things to saturate our mind, heart, and soul. No matter the circumstances we encounter on this day, leave room to encounter the goodness of the Lord.

Let us Pray . . .

God thank you for accenting our days on this earth with Your goodness. God may you show us more of your goodness and beauty on this day and forever more.

–In Jesus Name.
